  Great community, fun events, beautiful houses, and (relatively) quick maintenance. I think this is a great way to find housing in California metro areas. I currently live in a beautiful home in Los Altos, and wouldn't have been able to find something like this without HubHaus. Thank you for helping solve the housing crisis. I definitely made a lot of friends through the HubHaus network in the past year. I highly recommend this housing option for anyone.

  Finally someone doing something constructive about the housing crisis in the bay. Too many giant houses sitting empty while not enough cities are willing to build apartments! I spent a great year in a gorgeous house. It was an amazing opportunity to get established in the bay. Roommates were great (we chose everyone after previous people left), responsible people who took care of the house and each other. It's not dorms in a hubhaus location, there's no forced socializing or community policing in my experience. The adults living together tend to have their own lives, agendas, and ambitions. I've made a few friends I keep in touch with, and some other roommates I didn't get to know as well. The maintenance work is a bit slower than I would like -- but this isn't any different from other places I've lived. Things that need fixing get fixed. Overall I'd recommend it to anyone. And I believe that we need more solutions like this -- rather than more luxury condos -- to bring people closer together and to provide affordable places to live.
